Professional Photographs

So my good friend Tammy is a professional photographer and offered to take some professional photos of some of our hats. This is only a sneak preview as there are still several more photos we are still waiting on. She is so talented. I feel so blessed to be able to work with her and have her capture such beautiful photos. I'm not sure what is cuter, the hats or the models! What do you think?

Here is beautiful Lucy and I after the shoot. She is such a beautiful little baby, and so happy! I can't wait to show you her other amazing photos!

If you are in the Omaha area and looking for an amazing photographer, I urge you to check out Tammy Muecke Photographhy today! Here are her websites:

heart earflap hat

I came up with this cute earflap hat. I used hearts that I sewed on rather than the normal crochet earflaps. I think it turned out super cute. I especially love the purple multicolored yarn!

Adult Granny Square hat with Flower

I came up with this adorable granny square adult hat and added a matching flower. So cute!

Fuzzy Eyes

So I made a baby girl owl hat and decided to spice it up. I added furry eyebrows. What a big hit this hat was!!

Crochet Garland

So we have decided to try our hand at selling some of our hats at an upcoming craft fair. When trying to think up some cute decorations for our booth, I came across some ideas for crocheted garland. This is what I came up with! It's so cute, I can't wait to string it along our table. And it was so quick and easy to make!

FROG!

How adorable is this little frog??

Mouse!

Someone grab the traps, I found mice running around!! Oh wait, they are too cute to trap!!

And here is a mouse with earflaps. With and without eyelashes!

And, did someone say Mic-key, M-o-u-s-e!

Headbands!

Katie, my sister is so creative. She has started making these amazing and super adorable headbands. Take a look!

Take me out to the ball game!

I received a special request to make a baseball hat for an adorable little boy. It turned out soo cute! As soon as I get a photo of him wearing it, I will be sure to share.

Check it out!

Baby Will!

I made this turtle shell and matching hat and tried it on a baby doll. It was cute, but hard to imagine how it would look on a real baby. Then baby Will Thomas was born and made a beautiful model!! How cute is he??

He also looks adorable in the custom made baby fedora I made for him.

I must admit, my hat creations look so much better on live models! Especially gorgeous, beautiful little babies!

Happy client ~ Clare

I received photos today of Clare, whose mother also purchased an owl hat for her. The hats alone are cute, but seeing them on humans makes them so much more adorable. Especially on little girls named Clare!! I just had to share with all of you!!

Thanks for the photo Ande and Clare, I'm so glad you love my hats, they look simply stunning on you!

St. Patrick's Day Crochet Top Hat

So I saw a photo of a leprechaun hat online and just knew I had to try and create one of my own. I needed motivation and thankfully had a photographer acquaintance request one to use as a prop. I played around with it today and was so excited I was able to work it out! The yellow buckle was tricky. I didn't mean for it to ruffle but I thought it looked so cute that way, I decided to keep it! It's amazing how accomplished I always feel when I can't figure something out and then I finally get it!!

Here it is! I'll try to get a photo of a baby wearing it. Just for fun I tried it on but it's a bit to small (obviously) :)  But I think with a few bobby pins I may be able to pull this off on St. Patty's Day! Maybe it would need to be a little smaller actually, to look more like an accessory rather than a too-small hat!! Also, because of the fact I am childless, I tried it on my adorable talking Brother Bear and he just loves it!

$25 and this adorable little holiday hat is all yours! Contact us to place an order :-)

Crochet Beard Hat

So I totally fell in love with the little boy beard hats and bought a pattern, courtesy of myohmycutiepie. I tried it out last night with my nephew over here and he loved it!!! I also love that it uses two yarns simultaneously! The hat quality is much thicker and warmer. I never would have thought of using this technique for hats but I will have to remember this for some of my other hats. It's also a great way to get a multicolor pattern going. I was not sure how I felt about the hat in photos but seeing it on him won me over! My brother saw it and said that would be great to keep his face warm in the winter when he's working outside.

The only downfall with this pattern is it is only available for child sizes. I try to only buy patterns if it includes baby through adult sizes. I will have to play around with it and see if I can convert it to an adult hat (this shouldn't be difficult) and make the beard larger (this could be tricky). Here are some photos of my adorable little nephew/model!

Baby Owl - Purple & Green

Here is a custom order for a newborn purple and green owl. So adorable.. I love making newborn hats, they always turn out so precious, no matter what the animal or colors used to create them. This one was no exception. I added a bow to this one which turned out great also. I love when our clients pick their own colors, it's really helps to make them feel like they are truly a part of the process.
